Java Developer London to £90k
Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java Maths). City based trading firm is seeking a technologist Java Developer to create and maintain server side Java components which support a highly scalable mission critical real-time financial trading platform. You’ll partner closely with Front Office users, with a particular focus on Pricing & Risk systems across multiple asset classes, gaining a good understanding of trade floor operations and priorities.

Following social distancing you will be based in an informal atmosphere in the City with a good work life balance (0900 to 1730 with flexibility), casual dress code, bright, open plan offices and a peaceful work environment.


Requirements:

• Strong core Java design and development skills
• Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems
• Good knowledge of mathematics
• Experience of designing developing large scale systems
• Experience of writing automated tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
• Ideally you will some experience with financial / trading systems although this could be any highly transactional system
